Wise Up!
Tame your screens. Strengthen your identity.
Wisdom. It’s bigger than brains and stronger than strength. And, for the sake of our churches, communities, wives, and children, we men need to know how to wield it. At the 2025 Men’s Gathering, Pastor Jonathan Conner brought Biblical wisdom to bear on two of the most pressing issues of our day, screens and identity, as he equipped us to tame our screens and to strengthen our identity as men of God.

Men Have Questions
We had an excellent Brews & Qs session with Pastor Conner this year (see video above). In the interest of a potential Men Have Questions episode or series, we are receiving additional questions. Did you miss your chance to ask in person at the gathering? Were not able to attend this year? Has some new inquiry surfaced since traveling home? Here’s your chance to ask away. If you provide your email, we will, in some form or fashion, get you an answer.
Main Speaker

Pastor Jonathan Conner (husband to his beautiful and wise wife, Rebecca, and father to his six children, five of whom are boys, meaning everything he owns… is broken) loves questions and enthusiastically welcomes them in the church. Since being ordained in 2004 (graduating from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and serving two congregations in western Iowa: St. John’s Lutheran in Sanborn and Zion Lutheran in Manning), he has answered (in person, in writing, online, through conferences, and over the air) thousands of questions. In order to sharpen his question-answering skills, he obtained a Master’s degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University in La Mirada, California in 2014. Few things bring him more joy than sharing God’s Truth with people who have a hunger to know. One of his great hopes is for the Church to welcome, encourage, and inculcate a culture of questions where our curiosity drives us closer to Jesus by studying the answers He provides in His Word and stamps on His creation.
